Feral — Privacy Policy

Feral ("we", "the app") is an entertainment and emotional-release app. This policy explains what we do and don't do with your information. We built Feral to be private by default.

What we collect

• Your mood entries and notes are stored locally on your device. We do not have user accounts and we do not upload or back up this content to our servers.
• Your voice is processed on your device to power the live scream meter. Audio is never recorded, saved, or uploaded.
• AI replies (optional, when online): if AI replies are enabled, the text you type or vent is sent to our reply service and our AI provider solely to generate a reply. It is not linked to your identity and is not used to advertise to you.

What we do NOT do

• We do not sell your data.
• We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
• We do not require an account, email, or phone number to use the core app.

Third parties

• Apple processes subscription purchases (we never see your payment details).
• RevenueCat helps us manage subscription status.
• Our AI provider processes vent text to generate replies when online AI is enabled.

Not therapy

Feral is for entertainment and emotional release. It is not therapy, medical care, or a crisis service, and the in-app creature is an AI, not a human. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or text HOME to 741741.

Children

Feral is intended for users 18 and older. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Your choices

Because your data lives on your device, deleting the app removes your local mood entries and notes. You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your App Store account settings.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
